iDMT digital chemistry consortium with the University of Cambridge and AstraZeneca

Shionogi announced the Innovation Centre in Digital Molecular Technologies, an open consortium with the University of Cambridge and AstraZeneca for automated and digitalized chemical synthesis of molecules such as drugs. The release says the consortium aims to innovate chemistry practice by integrating high-throughput synthesis, analytics, chemical informatics, machine learning, robotics and reaction engineering.

Atomwise AI drug-discovery collaboration

Announcement

Hansoh and Atomwise announced an expansion of their strategic partnership for AI-accelerated drug discovery, after a first hit-discovery collaboration that identified and experimentally confirmed novel hit compounds for a challenging oncology target. The release says the collaboration began in November 2019 and that Atomwise used its AtomNet AI technology to screen a virtual library of over 12 billion compounds, finding 200 predicted candidates with target specificity in two weeks from a single virtual screen.

Skin Science Foundation machine-learning collaboration

Announcement

Galderma, the European Society for Dermatological Research, LEO Pharma and Celgene announced they had joined forces to found the Skin Science Foundation. The release says the foundation will use big data and machine learning on everyday data from blood tests, multi-omics analyses and wearable devices for a personalised approach to skincare.
