Early Warning System collaboration with InstaDeep

BioNTech and InstaDeep announced a computational method that analyzes sequencing data and predicts high-risk SARS-CoV-2 variants. The Early Warning System, developed in the collaboration, is based on artificial-intelligence immune-escape and fitness metrics. The release says that during a trial period the system identified more than 90 percent of WHO-designated variants on average two months in advance.
