Hepatitis B therapeutic vaccine collaboration with NEC

Shionogi and NEC announced a strategic research collaboration for a novel hepatitis B therapeutic vaccine. NEC OncoImmunity, an NEC subsidiary the release describes as specializing in artificial-intelligence-driven biotechnology, is also participating. The release says the companies will accelerate progress toward the vaccine by combining Shionogi's infectious-disease discovery capability with NEC's expertise in artificial intelligence.
