UCB says IB Lab FLAMINGO, an AI platform that was originally a UCB initiative, detects vertebral fractures on routine CT scans and is already validated across European health systems. The article says UCB and ImageBiopsy Lab designed and validated a downstream osteoporosis care pathway for patients the tool identifies.

In its second-quarter 2026 results, Alnylam said it had announced a collaboration with a large health care system in California to support that system's DETECT-ATTR study. The study evaluates Invision Precision Cardiac Amyloid, described as an AI-enabled, FDA-cleared echocardiography screening approach for cardiac amyloidosis.

The same City A.M. report says GSK is using generative AI to scan internal and external datasets, including literature, bench results and clinical trials, to try to match a treatment to an individual patient.
